Auckland based artist Rose Meyer foregrounds the technical characteristics of drawing by focusing on method. Her current work uses travel as a process for drawing: simple drawing devices are placed in boxes and transported to their destination via the postal service or by car.  The incidental movements made in transit become a literal translation of the space and time of the journey: the drawing is a documentation of its own creation.

Meyer’s interest in methods of making influences her work in other media, culminating in a practice with an emphasis on project and investigation.
